Clean, tidy rooms with basic amenities. Enjoyed generous breakfasts to fuel up for the day ahead.
The room could use some updates. the remote was held together with tape and the door had a noticeable gap when closed. Had issues with noise from other guests slamming doors, which wasn't ideal for a peaceful night. while the hotel had its charm, it felt a bit stuck in time.

Great spot for golfers!
Five of us hit up this place for a 2-night golf trip. Super nice staff, especially the evening manager, who was super helpful! Rooms were decent-sized and clean. The breakfast spread was pretty good too. Only wish there were a few more dinner options. But overall, it was a solid stay, and we're already planning another trip for some more swings!

I had a delightful stay at The Royal Hotel in Tain. The superior double room felt spacious and cozy with a lovely seating area and a big flat-screen TV. Complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels added a nice touch amidst the quirky Victorian decor. Breakfast options impressed me with generous choices, although the Wi-Fi connection wasn't reliable. Located perfectly for exploring Tain, it made my trips to local shops enjoyable. A nice touch was complimentary water and biscuits in the room. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing good service despite a few hiccups with breakfast timing. the noise from traffic outside was a bit disruptive at times, and I'd appreciate a better breakfast variety next time. Still, it exceeded my expectations for comfort and experience.

Had a great time with friends! Enjoyed playing golf at Royal Dornoch Golf Club and explored nearby shops. The restaurant served delicious meals, and I was impressed by the friendly staff. The comfy rooms made it a pleasant stay, perfect for groups.
One downside was that the mattress was hard as steel, which didn’t make for the best sleep. But overall, that was the only issue we faced.

Great for a solo traveler escaping reality
The bed was comfortable and I found the breakfast spread something I've never seen before- great variety fresh fruits and cereals. Plus the staff were friendly and very accommodating, it.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but still reasonable for what you get.

The warm hospitality from the owners and staff made the stay enjoyable for our group of golfers. Breakfast offered a good variety and was freshly cooked, making it an excellent start to the day. The cheaper room we occupied was adequate but lacked the charm of the more expensive options. it was a comfortable stay with nice food and friendly service.

It was just a well-suited match for a cursory stop in Tain with great value. The bar was a bit messy, but I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Consider checking in early to avoid the evening rush.
